ON PHOTOGRAPHY AND THE CREATION OF VIRTUAL SPACE:
MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE
ImagePraxis is an exploration of how photography as a creative medium can deepen the conversation about what a healthier, happier Philippines can look like, and how existing sustainable initiatives can be communicated as means of engaging the general public, to funders, volunteers and would-be collaborators.
|
It is grounded on the belief that the task of holding spaces, hosting spaces for communities and the “New” through creative means is, in many ways, this current generation’s religion—and by religion we mean it hearkens back to the original meaning of religare, of bringing together that which has been severed.
|
Thus, ImagePraxis Project uses the creation of image-stories and virtual and workshop-based forms of mapping and dialogue to attempts to create spaces that will allow a greater sense of wholeness and connection to emerge–ultimately making visible that which seems invisible.
